Dear Father President of the APVC,

Father Visitors of Asia Pacific, and Fr. Perry Peralta CM, the secretary executive of APVC

The second part of the Joint Meeting in Gopalpur-on-sea (February 2009), in which only Vincentian formators remained, proposed recommendations to you. These are to be followed up with the “political will” of Father Visitors in order to be realized in provincial and interprovincial level. Here are three or four or five of them that the formators strongly underlined in the discussion:

  2. Exchange of students in pastoral formation with characteristics of interreligious dialogue experience
  3. Pastoral programs of ongoing formation for formators

  1. Resource persons of other religions giving lectures to our students
  2. Ongoing formation for formators
  3. Using websites to disseminate materials of interreligious dialogue and formation
  4. Curriculum of study should be arranged in such a way so that students will be well prepared for interreligious dialogue
  5. Exchange of professors and students at inter-provincial level

INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE IN SOCIAL FORMATION

  1. Cultivating social awareness of the students to identify human problems to be part of formation
  2. Implementing the programs of Systemic Change of the Vincentian Family
